Kick off the holiday season by taking in the sights of Paris with a wonderful excursion in the city. After lunch onboard, visit the Tuileries Garden Christmas markets lining the river Seine from the Louvre to the Place de la Concorde; these Marchés de Noël welcome with festive traditions and culinary treats that make Paris even more magical at this time of the year. Paris Paris 01/01/2027 A choice of excursions this morning includes a visit to the impressive Musée de Cluny in the lively Latin Quarter. Built atop the ruins of a second-century Roman bath, it houses one of the world's finest collections of French medieval art. A guided tour reveals the famous Lady and the Unicorn tapestries, dating to the 1500s and a showcase for the five senses: touch, taste, smell, hearing and sight. Or, join a local guide for a visit to Gothic Sainte-Chapelle on the Île de la Cité, a royal chapel enshrined within the city's 13th century Palais de Justice. The chapel, a vision of story-telling stained-glass windows, was conceived by Louis IX to house his personal collection of holy relics, including the famous Holy Crown. Enjoy lunch onboard your riverboat, then join your Tauck Director for a visit to a Christmas market, where more Parisian treats await. Sample hot mulled wine (vin chaud), roasted chestnuts, and delicious warm from the oven baguettes, sausages, cheese and chocolates while you view trees aglow with lights, beautiful displays of arts and crafts, festive Christmas decorations, regional food specialties, fine wines, and other sights that dazzle you until well into the night. Le Havre: D-Day Beaches - 9 hours The numerous monuments and memorials on the Normandy coastal area bear witness to the fierce fighting that took place here during and after the D-Day Landings of World War II. Your driver-guide meets you after you have departed your cruise ship and takes you on a full-day tour of the American Sector to visit some of the most important sites of this pivotal point in the war. Your day starts on the famous coastline at Pointe du Hoc, which the US Rangers scaled, demonstrating a triumph of planning, training and execution by elite and well-led troops. Further eastwards along the coast is the sector known as Omaha Beach, also captured by invading American forces, and where you can examine several sites from both the German and US perspectives. You also hear about Operation Aquatint, a failed 1942 British Commando raid on the area. Your day ends with a poignant visit to the US Military Cemetery and Interpretation Centre at Colleville-sur-Mer, the final resting place of over 9300 US soldiers located on a bluff overlooking Omaha Beach. New 125m riverboat in Tauck's Destination Fleet, this newly redesigned riverboat debuts in 2026, optimized for the utmost in spaciousness. A reimagined deck plan is purpose built for the Seine, with 80% of cabins 225 sq ft or larger. There are 20 300-square-foot spacious Tauck suites; 30 225-square-foot cabins and 12 180-square-foot cabins.

Shipboard Credit for Category 7 Staterooms: a €100 shipboard credit (one per stateroom) is provided to guests booked in a Category 7 stateroom to be used for onboard purchases or services (spa, laundry, gift shop, etc.)

Land/Cruise price per person: based on double occupancy, includes cruise fare, most meals, port charges, shore excursions, applicable fuel surcharges, and gratuities to Tauck Directors, Tauck Cruise Director, ship staff, local guides & drivers, as well as on all included meals; unlimited complimentary beverages aboard ship include regional wine, beer and premium spirits, in addition to specialty coffee, water and soft drinks.
