The Laucala Island Resort's residences are not hotel rooms, but standalone homes suspended over lagoons, on hilltops, amidst rainforest and beside the rolling waves. Each residence has an elegant lounge, private pool, spacious sundeck, and outdoor bath with striking Fiji-inspired interiors and tropical South Pacific landscaping.

Residence interiors are softly curved and full of free-flowing shapes. Thatched roofs are made from the leaves of sago palms, floors are laid with local timber, and the spaces also feature 'balabala' fern stems and a traditional coconut husk weave known as 'magimagi'.

Plantation Residences are located on their own stretches of white-sand beach, with spacious, open-plan living areas and spectacular sea views. Seagrass Residences are nestled in lush vegetation, with wood and rock finishes that connect the interior spaces to the bay coastline they overlook. Lastly, Plateau Residences sit on a hilltop ridge, the tropical architecture blurring the boundary between the homes and the lush greenery.

Our menus aren't just bursting with flavor, they're centered around health, wellbeing, and sustainability. The island's home-grown produce goes into all restaurant and bar menus. Our wellness retreat is a celebration of the many fresh, nourishing resources that can be found in Fiji. Treatments make use of the islands herbs, stones, flowers, fruits, and soils with the Spa located on a forested hilltop among the birds.

Vanua Levu Vanua Levu Just over 100 miles long Vanua Levu (pronounced vah-NEW-ah LAY-vu) is a good base for adventurous souls who prefer rainforest hikes, bird-watching, and snorkeling to, say, golf, tennis, and spas. The interior of the island is rugged, and green fields of sugar cane cover the north and west coasts like a scene from long ago Hawaii. Gaze across the gloriously blue waters of vast Savusavu Bay (fine windsurfing, by the way), and you may find it hard to understand why there aren’t more visitors.
